System Efficiency Test Q4 - NO

4. Does your office have the same Operating System on all its computers? - NO

Not having the same Operating System on your office computers can cause you real problems. The more modern versions of the applications being used may have less functionallity with older Operating Systems.

Remember - new applications are usually back compatible with previous versions of the same application usually across the older Operating Systems. This does NOT work in reverse.

If you produce a Word document in Word 2000, it may not even be readable properly in Word 98, depending on any extras included by the Originator.

It is worth keeping the Operating Systems within the office the same.
